2026/27 Membership Year

The 2026/27 membership year commences on Sunday 1 September 2026, ahead of the summer athletics season. Renewals will open on the same date, register here.

Fee change for 2026/27

The base membership fee (which includes your QA membership) will increase to $45. This is our first fee increase in over 10 years, and it keeps TEES one of the most affordable clubs in the region.

A huge thank you to the 441 members who made 2025/26 such a memorable season, on the track, on the trails, and everywhere in between. We can't wait to see you all back for what's shaping up to be another great year.

Good luck at XC Nationals

On Saturday 22 August, 18 TEES members will represent Queensland at the Australian Cross Country Championships in Ballarat, Victoria. We wish them all the best of luck.

Emma Fryga at the World U20 Championships

In August, TEES member and national champion Emma Fryga pulled on the green and gold to represent Australia in the 800m at the 2026 World Athletics U20 Championships in Eugene, Oregon, one of the biggest stages in junior athletics.

Emma finished 4th in her heat in 2:05.08 to advance to the semi-final, then backed it up with 2:05.55 against a strong international field, narrowly missing out on a final spot.

A brilliant result: at just 17, Emma was running against athletes up to two years her senior. Congratulations Emma!

Life member spotlight: Greg Coulter

Greg joined TEES in the club's centenary year, 2000, and was awarded Life Membership in 2024. Twenty-six years, a Treasurer's stint, and countless cross country starts later, we asked Greg to share some reflections on his time with the club.

"I found some unspent youth, and at 68, I ran my best time for the year at parkrun. The journey continues…"

Queensland Relay Championships

Mark the calendar: the Queensland Relay Championships are on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November at QSAC. It's a great chance to get back on the track after the cross country season and represent TEES in a team event.

Teams run across multiple age groups, with distances from 4x100m up to 4x1500m, so there's a spot for sprinters and distance runners alike.

Keen to run? Let us know and we'll help put teams together. Entries close Thursday 12 November, 9am.

SEQ Trail Running Series

Our friends at the SEQ Trail Running Series have put together a 10% discount code for TEES members. If you're interested in taking on some trail this season, email us at tees@teesathletics.org.au and we'll send the code through.

Details and registration: seqtrailrunningseries.com.au

Grill'd Local Matters

This September, TEES Athletics will be featured in the Grill'd Local Matters program at their Westfield Carindale store. The club is in the running for up to $300 in community funding, and every burger counts.

If you're grabbing a Grill'd this month, drop your token in the TEES jar and help us make the most of it. Thanks for the support!

Donations for uniforms

If you've outgrown or upgraded your old TEES uniforms, we'll happily take them off your hands. We're collecting donated uniforms to send overseas to help those less fortunate. Just bring them along to training and hand them to a committee member.
