The Thompson Estate Eastern Suburbs Athletic Club — TEES Athletics — was established in 1900 as the Thompson Estate Harriers' Amateur Athletic Club. Thompson Estate, a former suburb of Brisbane, was divided in two by the construction of the South East Freeway and absorbed into the Annerley and Stones Corner suburbs that exist today.
The club's current name derives from the merging of the original club with the Eastern Suburbs Athletic Club in 1950. The club moved to its current location at Carina's Clem Jones Centre in the 1980s, while construction of the clubhouse commenced in 1998.
Striving for Success 1900–1990 was devised by former President and Life Member Jack Forrest and completed by Douglas Cave. Cave later expanded and updated the work for the club's centenary, producing A History of Thompson Estate Eastern Suburbs Athletic Club 1900–2000.
